O διαβητικός ασθενής τύπου 2, Θ.Γ γράφει : Όταν βλέπω,διαβάζω, μαθαίνω τόσο χαρμόσυνα νέα , πραγματικά νιώθω μεγάλη υπερηφάνεια, οπου ένα επαναστατικό προιόν όπως το Freestyle Libre ,θα μπορεί να βοηθήσει τους διαβητικούς ασθενείς,αλλάζοντας τα δεδομένα της μέτρησης και της ρύθμισης του σακχάρου τους, βελτιώνοντας ταυτόχρονα την ποιότητα ζωής τους.
Απο τη Γαλλία τα χαρμόσυνα νέα λοιπόν όπου ανακοινώθηκε η αποζημίωση του freestyle libre, σε ασθενείς με διαβήτη τύπου 1 και ασθενεις με διαβήτη τύπου 2 που χρησιμοποιούν εντατικοποιημένο σχήμα ινσουλίνης.
Εδώ σημειώνω την πρόνοια της Γαλλικής κυβέρνησης και του υπουργείου υγείας της Γαλλίας που μερίμνησε ώστε να αποζημιωθεί το Freestyle Libre και στους ασθενείς τύπου 2,που κάνουν χρήση ινσουλίνης βλέποντας προφανώς τα οφέλη και για τους διαβητικούς ασθενείς τύπου 2.
Ανακούφιση για τους πολίτες της Γαλλίας και κυρίως για τους διαβητικούς.
Πραγματικά ώρες,ώρες απορώ αν η Ελλάδα αποτελεί κομμάτι της Ευρώπης, ή η Ευρωπαική Ένωση έχει δημιουργηθεί για να εξυπηρετούνταιμόνο χρηματοοικονομικοί στόχοι,και οικονομικά συμφέροντα.
Απορώ αν όλοι οι πολίτες και δη της Ελλάδας είμαστε πολίτες ενός ευνομούμενου κράτους ή είμαστε πολίτες κατώτερης κατηγορίας ώστε τα θέματα υγείας να αντιμετωπίζονται μονόπλευρα ως θέματα δαπάνης και μόνο δαπάνης.
Πράγματι υπάρχει κρίση ,και ενίοτε υπήρχε και ασυδοσία στις δαπάνες της υγείας.
Όμως όσο αφορά το Freestyle Libre, όλα τα στοιχεία δείχνουν ότι τα οφέλη για τους διαβητικούς ασθενείς αλλά και μελέτες που διεξήχθησαν, έχουν αποδείξει ότι η δαπάνη της υγείας μειώνεται αντί να αυξάνεται,με τη χρήση του εν λόγω προιόντος.
Για αυτούς τους λόγους το κράτος,το υπουργείο υγείας,ο Εοπυυ,όλοι οι φορείς της υγείας, θα έπρεπε να συνεργαστούν,ώστε το προιόν να αποζημιώνεται.
Αντί αυτού, αφήνουν τους διαβητικούς ασθενείς να ταλαιπωρούνται και να αγωνιούν για το τι μέλλει γενέσθαι.
Πίστευα ότι κάποια στιγμή η Ελλάδα θα πρωτοπορούσε και η αποζημιώση στο Freestyle Libre θα δινόταν γρήγορα και για μία έστω φορά, θα προπορευόμασταν από οποιαδήποτε άλλη χώρα,στο εξωτερικό.
Παρά το γεγονός ότι διαψεύστηκα,και επειδή πιστεύω ακράδαντα ότι ποτέ δεν είναι αργά, καλώ όλους τους φορείς να συνεργαστούν ώστε το Freestyle Libre, να αποζημιωθεί το συντομότερο δυνατό.
Είναι μονόδρομος,η αποζημίωση του, γιατί θα κινδυνεύσουμε οι διαβητικοί να γίνουμε πολίτες-διαβητικοί διαφόρων ταχυτήτων,όπου οι κατέχοντες θα μπορούν να το αγοράσουν και να χαίρονται ένα από τα καλύτερα προιόντα στη ρύθμιση του διαβήτη, επίσης μία άλλη κατηγορία θα στερείται άλλα σημαντικά πράγματα για να το έχει όπως π.χ, γονείς για τα παιδιά τους που έχουν διαβήτη τύπου 1,και μία άλλη κατηγορία που δεν μπορεί για καθαρά οικονομικούς λόγους να το προμηθευτεί.
Ένα σύστημα παρακολούθησης γλυκόζης,με ανώδυνο έλεγχο σακχάρου, όπου όλοι οι διαβητικοί κυρίως οι διαβητικοί που κάνουν χρήση ινσουλίνης, θα έπρεπε ήδη να το χρησιμοποιούν με βοήθεια του κράτους.
Συγχαρητήρια στη Γαλλία για την αποζημίωση του Freestyle Libre,,δείχνοντας ότι η υγεία δεν κοστολογείται μόνο σε χρήμα αλλά και σε ανθρώπινες ζωές.

PARIS, May 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Abbott today announced that the French Health Ministry has granted national reimbursement across France for FreeStyle® Libre—Abbott's revolutionary glucose monitoring technology that removes the need for routine finger sticks1 for people with diabetes. This reimbursement decision will mean access to the FreeStyle Libre system for hundreds of thousands of people from age four3 across France with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes who use insulin multiple times per day.
As part of the evaluation published in July 2016, the French Health Technology Assessment (HTA) body – Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) – issued a positive opinion stating that FreeStyle Libre provides added clinical value (category of ASAIII) over the current standard of care for people with diabetes who use insulin multiple times per day. Unlike older continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology, FreeStyle Libre is now the first glucose sensing product to obtain the ASAIII category leading to a reimbursement agreement.

The FreeStyle Libre system eliminates the challenges of routine finger sticking1 for people with diabetes. With the data from the device, they can have a better understanding of their glucose levels through the Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP), a chart generated by the software that provides a visual snapshot of glucose levels, trends and patterns over time. It also provides doctors with deeper insights to make more informed treatment decisions.
"People with diabetes find finger sticking painful and cumbersome so they often don't test as frequently as they should," said Hélène Hanaire, M.D., University Hospital Center of Toulouse, Toulouse, France. "Having easier access to technology like FreeStyle Libre is going to increase freedom for individual patients on a larger scale, and ultimately change how they—and we—manage diabetes going forward."
Abbott's FreeStyle Libre system was introduced across Europe in 2014, and is now available in more than 30 countries and used by more than 300,0004 people with diabetes around the world. Two published clinical trials5 and real-world evidence from more than 50,000 users6 show that people who use FreeStyle Libre system test their glucose levels an average of at least 15 times per day. The studies show that people who scan more frequently spend less time in hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) while having improved average glucose levels, demonstrating improved glucose control overall.
